Stoke v Swansea, 16:00
Games between teams starting with S have been entertaining this weekend so far, and Swansea will certainly plan on being less terrible and pathetic than Sunderland were on Saturday when they visit Stoke this afternoon in an attempt to get three more points under their belt and keep pace with the big boys. The Welsh team are a point ahead of Liverpool while being level with Arsenal and having a game in hand over the Gunners, all of which will make the fans very happy, and if they do beat their guests a spot in the Champions League places should be theirs for a few days at least.
Stoke boss Mark Hughes expects to have Mame Biram Diouf and Victor Moses available following injuries, but is less optimistic about Glenn Whelan, Marko Arnautovic and Robert. Swansea midfielder Jonjo Shelvey is suspended by Angel Rangel returns from his ban, and Jordi Amat is doubtful while Leon Britton is still out.

Although they’re having a disappointing season so far the size of the task Liverpool have ahead of them to maintain what they achieved last year has been somewhat overstated and a win today would take them back into the top four. For Rangers a victory wouldn’t even get them out of relegation range, but it would be a massive boost in terms of both their morale and their prospects of survival, although the latter also probably depends on the manager being brave enough to drop a few of his mates who’re currently holding the first team back (cough cough Rio cough).
QPR remain without Joey Barton and Jordon Mutch, but Niko Kranjcar could be involved, with the player reportedly prepared to have a pain-killing injection after breaking his toe. Liverpool’s Daniel Sturridge faces a further month out but Joe Allen, Emre Can and Dejan Lovren are all fit again. Rob Green and Reo Ferdinand are also out injured for QPR

Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake have lodged defamation proceedings in Dublin against Heat Magazine over an article published last month.

The pair – who have been married for two years – have taken separate actions against Bauer Consumer Media, Heat’s publisher, claiming that the article and accompanying pictures defamed them.

International media lawyer Paul Tweed of Johnsons Solicitors has lodged two plenary summonses on behalf of Biel and Timberlake in Dublin.

But why is the case being processed in Ireland?

Tweed explained to TheJournal.ie that he and his firm have strong connections with the attorneys of many California-based personalities, including the clients in this case.

Johnsons operates out of offices in Dublin, Belfast and London, and Tweed said that Biel and Timberlake chose to lodge proceedings in Dublin after taking advice that this route would likely be the most expedient.

They would want to get vindication as soon as possible.

Tweed also said that Biel and Timberlake’s high profile in Ireland, as well as the extensive distribution of Heat magazine in this country means that going through the Irish courts is an option open to them.

He said that 95 per cent of cases of this nature are resolved out of court, but that Biel and  Timberlake would be required to appear in Dublin if proceedings were to go that far.

Tweed said that the case is unlikely to be heard before next summer at the earliest.

British is holding a nationwide exercise to test its preparedness for an outbreak of the deadly Ebola virus.

The eight-hour exercise features actors pretending to have Ebola plus doctors, nurses and the ambulance service treating them at undisclosed locations around the country, as well as a Royal Navy hospital ship, RFA Argus.

It will be followed by a “simulated” meeting of the government’s emergency committee COBRA, the Department of Health said in a statement.

“The public can be assured that we have been planning our response to an Ebola case in the UK for many months now since the outbreak started in west Africa,” a spokesman for the Department of Health said.

“It is vital that we test these plans in as realistic a situation as possible — with real people in real time.”

The Ebola epidemic has killed over 4,000 people this year, according to the World Health Organisation (WHO), with Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone the worst hit.

Britain has only treated one case of Ebola on its shores.

William Pooley, a nurse who contracted the virus while working in Sierra Leone, made a full recovery last month after being treated in a London hospital.

But concerns have risen since a Spanish nurse caught Ebola while treating a patient in a Madrid hospital and the World Health Organisation has warned that other isolated infections in Europe were “unavoidable”.

Britain announced Wednesday it was sending 750 military personnel, a medical ship and three helicopters to Sierra Leone to help fight the spread of Ebola.

It also said Thursday it would start screening travellers coming from Ebola-hit parts of west Africa at Heathrow and Gatwick airports and on Eurostar trains from Belgium and France.

The role of a firefighter is essentially to protect the lives of the general public during potentially life threatening situations. Firefighters are on call 24/7 to respond to emergency situations ranging from car crashes, water rescue, chemical spills, water rescue and of course, fires. The job is challenging and oftentimes incredibly stressful, but provides high levels of job satisfaction. To become a firefighter you must have strong mental, physical and behavioral traits while being able to withstand the physical and mental demands of the role.

I think that they deserve the respect that they deserve and it is no wonder that people admire what they do 

Brazil vs Argentina

Today Brazil host Argentina as far away from their respective homes as you can get. The game takes place in Beijing much to the annoyance of managers who need layers from both countries fit for upcoming club games. However as the rivals face each other the question needs to be asked, what benefit does it really have for other country. Fans apcannot travel as it is too far away, it makes no difference in relation to competition and the players being jetlagged may not play their best. For Brazil it seems like a throw back to the old days, an old manager returns, old players on on the team but surely that cannot be a step forward. For Argentina, alls square as to what it was in the World Cup with more or less the same team starting. So as the game kicks off, the real question is, what will the result really mean?

The new US ambassador to Ireland has claimed that he is the luckiest man in the United States and express how he nearly cried as the national anthem was played at the presidents residence in dublin and it got me thinking about how nice it would be to be the ambassador for your country? Surely of all the jobs this must be one with the greatest amount of perks. You can roll dice with the upper class of society, bask in the glow of being invited to anything you would like to attend all while having a nice residence in this case in one of the most exclusive areas of dublin.
