So with the world cup starting tonight I thought it might be an idea to put together a selection of players to watch for each team.
That being said surely the best place to start would be Brasil

I rate Brazil as the best defensive team in the tournament, they have 3 of what could be called the best defenders in the world and then there is David Luiz, the jury is still out on his role as a defensive rock but PSG seem to think that he is worth nearly 80 million dollars.

If there is a question the hosts have to answer, it’s about goals. To score enough to win the tournament, Brazil may need help from deeper in midfield. Among the most advanced players in the Brazilian 4-3-3, Neymar and Oscar are there for creativity as much or more than for scoring, and Fred is more of a hard-working distributor from the front than a goals machine. Wide forward Hulk can be a dominant scoring force, but he is prone to inconsistency. If these players cannot come up with the attacking tallies the side needs, the man to watch is Paulinho. The central midfielder had a disappointing season for Tottenham Hotspur, but he could be the difference-maker for Brazil.

Playing behind creative No. 10 Oscar and protected by the defensively-minded Luis Gustavo, Paulinho will be looking to make incisive late runs into the penalty box that Neymar, Oscar or Fred can pick out with a killer pass.

I think that the main question will be how the pressure gets to the team. they are hosts, favourites and without a doubt have a very strong team but we could see from his first season at Barcelona that pressure can get to Neymar and that David Luiz can sometimes go missing from big games. how will they deal with the opening match tonight.
