The States examinations are taking place in Ireland.
I remember when I sat these exams at the tender age of 18 and did not have a clue where my life would lead. Today marks the second day of the exam and I wonder how many students are sitting it that were just a clueless as me.
I also wonder about the exam, have they become sexist in the layout of the timetable. They have picked two subjects to be 'paired' with the compulsory subject of english. One is more 'female' dominated in relation to the home economics subject and one traditionally more 'male' dominated. Is it right to have one of each or should there be a gap in the exams for both sexes?
I don't know myself nor do I know where the answer would be found but the 'new' timetable for the exam was news to me
