I really hope he doesn't have a great world cup. He has had a woeful season this year and I think that anyone who doesn't bother to play well all year and only 'turns it on' for the World Cup so that their publicity will go through the roof doesn't deserve it. I think that if a player plays well during the tournament then they do deserve credit  but surely this should be balanced against how they play all year and not just for a few weeks during the summer?
